Global Advocacy for African Affairs and partners including Friends of Nigeria Europe are putting up this August forum to instigate high standards of public governance which is the essential foundation for achieving sustainable economic growth and social cohesion. The exercise will shine the spotlight on key principles and crucial factors in the three following areas of good governance:

  • Ensuring impartiality in the decision-making process by a credible conflict-of-interest policy.
  • Increasing transparency in the preparation and execution of the budget.
  • Promoting freedom of information, consultation and participation of citizens in the formulation and implementation of public policies.

The forum seeks to create a nexus of the various perspective and background to transparency and public accountability especially as it affects growth, stability and the future.
